High Density NoNOISE
Sonic High Density NoNOISE is the next generation of Sonic's industry- standard, designed to take advantage of the increased dynamic range afforded by emerging new High-Density Audio™ formats. DSP algorhythms now utilize expanded digital wordlengths to provide dramatically- increased headroom and a lower noise floor. Combined with the inherent accuracy provided by faster sampling rates and 24-bit digital word widths, High Density NoNOISE provides the ultimate in noise elimination processing.
- High Density NoNOISE provides a dramatic increase in additional headroom during digital signal processing.
- Up to six times more gain can be applied to specific frequency ranges before digital overflow is encountered. In addition, multiple stages of gain produce far less graininess (normally associated with digital filters due to the expanded internal digital wordlengths utilized during processing), and are virtually free of processing artifacts. Gain can be boosted with narrow Q's to sound cleaner, with a resultant overall lower noise floor even when heavy processing is applied.
- Processing with long wordlengths (34/48 bit) provides a guarantee of 24 bits of accuracy throughout the entire process, no matter how complex the filter set may be.
- High Density NoNOISE utilizes longer digital word lengths which requires more DSP power, so processing may take longer. However, the results are vastly improved in terms of overall lower distortion and increased signal to noise ratio.
